Guru Qualifications

If someone wants to categorize himself as a guru, what exactly should that person consider? I suppose it depends on what topic is being discussed. For example, for someone to be looked at as an expert on brain surgery, he or she would likely need to be a highly acclaimed and thoroughly educated brain surgeon.

However, there are many other topics out there that do not necessarily require people to have college degrees in order to be considered an expert or guru in that particular topic. One example would be the profession of stock trading, and in particular, penny stock trading.

You can browse around the world wide web and begin to see the vast amount of penny stock traders who have amassed quite large followings via their blogs and through forms of social media such as twitter and facebook. Guru penny traders often start their own penny stock newsletter publications and begin to sell monthly subscriptions once they have developed a favorable reputation.

If you ever consider subscribing to one of these services I highly advise you to do a great deal of research to verify the claims of these so called gurus of penny stock investing. This will help you avoid some of the scams that have emptied the pockets of novice penny stock traders who were too lazy to do their due diligence.

A couple of newsletters I can highlight for you are micro cap millionaires and penny stock prophet. While I cannot assure you that both will lead you into profitable penny stock picks at all times, both can help you maximize your chances of success. Be aware that the penny stock prophet scam does have a bad reputation amongst some circles due to the fact that they do paid promotions of penny stocks, while micro cap millionaires does not. The argument is based on the assumption that since the prophet is paid for his picks that he cannot be truly objective.
