I am finally just now in charge of our companies social event planning. I go to work every day in New Jersey and have to make plans for these investor events all over the country. It can be annoying, slow and sometimes frustrating. The events usually include a venue, a nice meal with waiters and waitress, and then afterward we have an award ceremony and a dance.
I’m currently planning one in the town of Austin, Texas. I’ve never been there but the people I’ve talked to seem nice. I hear it has a wonderful reputation and is the capital of Texas. I’ve located the band, I’ve got a place and now I need some input on who does nice catering in Austin.
The meal has to nice but not over-priced and I’m hoping that they can arrange for all the dinnerware and the wait people. We need to have a choice of some sort of seafood and of course beef. I hear that beef is a big thing in Texas. Anyway, if I could get at least three bids on the job for catering in Austin, Texas I can finish up the details sooner than later and get onto the next job.

Great Wine Regions
For those people who don’t drink wine regularly or understand the fascination of wine drinkers, it seems that every Merlot is exactly the same. That couldn’t be further from the truth to be honest and most serious wine drinkers already know this.
In fact, taking Merlot as an example we can see the dramatic differences created by different growing regions around the world. In France, Merlot is prized because it can contain a high amount of acidity which allows the wine (in their opinion) to age gracefully. In California Merlot is grown at much warmer temperatures, so the fruit is much more prevalent than the acidity. Winemakers in California would tell you (in their opinion) that the higher degree of fruit allows their wine to age gracefully.
So who’s right?
The fun part about wine, is that it is up to you to taste and to find out whose side you happen to be on for this vintage. As a warning, I personally go back and forth!
